  • A measure of my success is my ability to work with people who are genuinely interested in my concepts and ideas.
  • There is a natural, evolutionary process, from artistry to entrepeneurism. As you expand creatively, so will you find more opportunities, and so will people find value in your work.
  • In the beginning stages, you need to assert your ego and charisma into your project (or movement), to make things happen. Then, as your project gains momentum, you should pull back and let people move ahead on their own. This is the highest form of leadership. From jazz musicians to saints – this is how I've seen it done.
  • If you have an idea then lead from the front – pull other people along and learn how to manage resources – how to get help. If individuals are sceptical, learn how to give them exposure to your vision then get them working with it, on their own. "I have an idea, you do it" is the wrong behavior. There are many details to leadership but being a front runner is top shelf stuff.
